William Shakespeares Romeo and Juliet In the love story about Romeo and Juliet, Romeo is an important character as all the events are based on his actions. Romeo the son of Montague falls in love with Juliet the daughter of lord and lady Capulet, this creates a grave problem as the Capulets and Montagues have had a feud this has been festered for a long time. The impression I get of Romeo when he first comes on to the scene is that he sad and miserable he also shows emotion with his words it is as if he intends on keeping himself to himself. Many a morning hath he there been seen, with tears augmenting the fresh mornings dew. Lord Montague also says that Away from the light†¦show more content†¦Romeo tells benvolio what had happened and says that Rosaline will never be able to love him Shell not be hit by cupids arrow. This suggests that Romeo will never forget Rosaline. Due to this he is sad and miserable. While Romeo is talking to Benvolio he says |this is not Romeo, hes some other where. This shows that even Romeo realises that he is not himself that he has lots his real self. Overall the feeling I get of Romeo is that he feels too sorry for himself, and that he thinks he will not find another lady for him. I think Romeo sounds a bit of a wimp as he cant get over such little matters and he cries about them in away this makes Romeo look as if he is a one women man. Though this might be true benvolio thinks Romeo will find another woman. Benvolio persuades Romeo to go to the party which the Capulet has organised, Benvolio tells him that Rosaline will be there due to this Romeo agreed to go to the party.
